Computer Forensics
Statista Research Department estimates that, in 2020, almost 87% of the worlds households had at least one computer in the home. That percentage is steadily increasing worldwide and so has computer usage and internet access which has definitely become more prevalent.
Computers can store information such as:
- When a user account was logged on/off,
- What files and other resources were accessed (and when),
- If a USB device were inserted in a specific system,
- If any third-party online storage sites were installed and/or utilized,
- If anything was printed,
- a user’s personal web browsing history,
- deleted items, and
- much more.
